Strange that this doesn't work for me - must be my use of subcategories. Thanks all the same.

In the original single.php file is a line near the top that shows a span with an id of map. In that is the following code:

<a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/"><?php _e('Home','arthemia'); ?> » <?php the_category(', ') ?>

I've just changed that to

Categories: <?php the_category(', ') ?>. <?php the_tags() ?>

Works for me as I put posts in multiple categories, so I just list them. And I'm not using any sub-categories on this blog.

Hi,

I see you're using the Arthemia Premium theme and have modified away from the breadcrumb... in favour of the categories.

I'm having reat trouble finding out where the template has limited "the_category" to a single child.

I see at the top of this post that you have achieved this as you are showing multiple categories.

Any pointers appreciated!

any ideas of how to add this breadcrumb, but one that shows pages and posts categories?

e.g. home / page / sub-page

or home / cat / sub-cat

??

Beyond my wordpress abilities I'm afraid. With my user experience hat on, I would say that 2 breadcrumbs sounds a little confusing ... I would try to think of another solution! (EG list the categories the page is in in a non-breadcrumb style).

Hey Malcolm,

Got a question about breadcrumbs.

Say I have categorized a post in two different parent categories.

eg.
Music
-Funk
-Soul
-Jazz (selected)

Movies
-Action
-Adventure
-Comedy
-Documentary (selected)

I would like there to be two breadcrumbs, which would look like this.

Home > Music > Jazz
Home > Movies > Documentary

Maybe, "Home" would be negated... but you get the point!

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thanks!
