Sometimes i have the same problems with Hootsuite. Maybe if i want to retweet something Hootsuite retweet the tweet with my private and my business account. And i am sure, that the business account wasn't selected.

Good spot Malcolm.

Interesting that Cheapflights took the command and control option and the following tweet has been up for nearly 5 hours:

"Cheapflights apologises for the earlier inappropriate Tweet. We are investigating illegal access to the CF Twitter account. More to follow."

I guess we won't know exactly what has happened until they tell us, but it does look like a personal tweet mix up using Hootsuite as you say.

I think that they should tell it how it is, apologise, don't name and shame and don't make an individual (whether an employee or agency bod) a scapegoat. Highlight that social media is a place where human error can occur, take it on the chin and make friends by dong so.

Time to move this on now Cheapflights.
