Want to know if Twitter is down or if it's just your computer / network?
Here are some ways to find out if Twitter's not working:
- status.twitter.com: The official webpage that tells you if Twitter is working or not.
- downforeveryoneorjustme.com: Tells you whether a given website is down for everyone (their problem) or just for you (your problem). Just type twitter.com in to test.
- istwitterdown.com: Says 'yes' if it is and 'no' if it isn't. That's it.
- whentwitterisdown.com: Serves up messages to make you feel worse (refresh to get more): "When Twitter is down, cry about it like a little tiny baby"
RSS has saved you...
Latest update on the Status site is that Twitter is defending against a 'denial of service attack'. I assume this means someone has made a concerted attempt to bring it down?
I guess so. I'm now on the front page of google for a search on is twitter down. This may bring my own blog down too ...!

it checks from multiple locations, unlike the other sites the mention.
